MCBans is committed to protecting the minimal data it records and uses on a regular basis in accordance with the below outlined policy. By using the MCBans.com website or it's services, you consent to information in order to identify you (Minecraft name and IP address) being recorded in order to protect servers and users running the service, in accordance with the privacy policy. Please be aware that this policy only regards to MCBans.com (and it's subdomains, *.mcbans.com), and not to any website you may access via our own.

What information do we collect about you?

MCBans collects and stores information that can be used to identify your person in relation to your Minecraft.net account, as such this only includes your IP and Minecraft name.
If you register for usage on the MCBans.com website, you will also be asked to disclose an email address we can use to contact you in the event of a problem/issue with your account or servers.

However, you may also visit the website anonymously, and no data will be collected on you. IP addresses and Minecraft names are only collected when you login to a server running the MCBans service.

How we use your information

We use your information in order to maintain the ability to assist server owners in blocking malicious users from logging into their servers by identifying trouble users and taking appropriate action.
Email addresses stored with MCBans are only used in order to notify you of service updates, information regarding appeals/disputes and to provide replies to feedback and support requests.

We use cookies for storing data to maintain account sessions on the website and for various other purposes to maintain your preferences towards the website at all times (unless your browser's cookies are cleared).

Information disclosure

MCBans will not, at any time, disclose any of your information stored on our servers to a third party without your consent or a legal request found valid by our administration team. Your information (IP Address, Email etc.) will never be given to untrusted third parties, but may be disclosed to those who assist in the management of the website and/or it's services. Information such as statistics for the website that contain no identifiable information may be disclosed to third parties such as advertisers and researchers at the sole discression of the MCBans administration.
